Privacy notice
This page explains in plain language what data this site uses and what it never keeps. Last updated 2026-11-06. It has not been reviewed by a lawyer.
What we use
Text and star ratings of public Google reviews for places in Paris, obtained through a licensed data provider (Outscraper) rather than by scraping Google directly. We keep only the review text, its rating, and roughly when it was posted, and we read it to work out what people say about each dish.
What we never keep
Reviewer names, profile photos and profile links are dropped the moment reviews come in. There is no database field for them, and an automated test checks that they are never written to disk. We have no way to trace a score back to who wrote a review.
What's shown on this site
Only derived scores (a 0–100 ranking number and a mention count) and, per place, at most one short review snippet (under 200 characters), labelled only "Google review, Month Year" — never a reviewer's identity. Full review text is never published.
Visitors
This site sets no cookies. It counts visits with Cloudflare Web Analytics, a privacy-focused tool from our host: a small script reports which page was viewed, the site you came from, your browser type, your country and how fast the page loaded. It sets no cookies, stores nothing on your device and does not follow you across other sites, and we only ever see totals, never individual visitors. Fonts and the map are served from the site itself. Our host, Cloudflare, also processes technical connection data (such as your IP address) to deliver pages and block attacks, as any web host does; see Cloudflare's privacy policy. If this changes, this page will say so before it happens.
Why we process this
On a legitimate-interest basis: reviews are already public on Google, and this site summarizes publicly available opinion about a specific dish rather than republishing anyone's personal data. Visit counts are measured on the same basis, to learn which pages are useful.
Your rights
You can ask for access to, correction of, or deletion of personal data about you, or object to its use, by writing to [email protected]. Because we keep no reviewer identities, we usually cannot find data about a given person, but we will always answer. You may also complain to the French data-protection authority, the CNIL.
Corrections and removal requests for a place
If you run one of the places listed here and want a correction or removal, write to [email protected]. We answer within 7 days.
